Dr. Amir Malik is one of the most experienced neurosurgeons in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with nearly four decades of practice focused on complex spine and brain conditions. He is known by patients and colleagues alike for his accessibility, his precision, and his willingness to take on cases others won't.
Dr. Malik received his neurosurgical training at the University of Washington in Seattle and Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Following his training, he joined the University of Texas in Houston as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery, where he served for over six years. His practice and research there focused on complex traumatic, degenerative, and neoplastic problems of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. In conjunction with TIRR Hospital, he led a team of doctors and physical therapists in the treatment of spinal cord and head injuries.
Dr. Malik's surgical expertise spans the full spectrum of neurosurgical care — from minimally invasive spine surgery and cervical disc replacement to complex spinal reconstruction and brain surgery. He is particularly sought after for cervical stenosis cases, spinal cord decompression, and patients who have been told their condition is inoperable.
Dr. Malik is board certified in neurosurgery and is affiliated with Medical City Plano, Carrollton Regional Medical Center, and Crescent Medical Center.
