Dr. Steve Hong, MD

Dr. Steve Hong grew up in Dallas-Fort Worth and has spent his career giving back to the community that raised him. His approach to pain management is built on one principle: treat the whole patient, not just the pain.

Dr. Hong combines multiple modalities of therapy — medication management, physical therapy, and lifestyle modification — with the full array of minimally invasive interventions to maximize pain relief. His primary focus is optimizing functionality and quality of life for every patient he treats, and he has a deep understanding of both acute and chronic pain conditions.

Dr. Hong received his medical education at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, located in the Texas Medical Center. After earning his MD, he returned to Dallas for his residency in anesthesiology and pain management at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he also completed his fellowship in interventional pain management.

Dr. Hong treats a wide range of conditions including back pain, neck pain, joint pain, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, failed back surgery syndrome, and cancer-related pain. His minimally invasive procedures include epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, nerve blocks, spinal cord stimulation, and radiofrequency ablation.
